Newman Zieglmeier provided a full construction period service to OLIVOMARE restaurant and OLIVINO shop. Pierluigi Piu was sole author of this project and it was a pleasure to collaborate with him.

OLIVOMARE is a sea food restaurant located in an affluent area close to Victoria Station in central London. As part of the famous restaurant brand Olivo, the OLIVOMARE offers authentic Sardinian cuisine using specially imported Sardinian products. The interior was finished in white to very high standard and careful consideration was implemented during construction period. Various marine elements were used to cheer up the different dining spaces. The playful fish puzzles, the white wave wall tiles, tentacle-like pendant lights and the coral shape wall decoration along with the indirect, ambient lighting bring the diners to the Mediterranean underwater world. The shop sits right next to the restaurant displaying wines and the imported Sardinian products.
